Dig those old bermuda shorts out, dig up that itty bitty polka dot bikini..Rattus, I'm sure you have a suit somewhere in that dresser, and Tea....what suits your fancy?  Moses?.... Tea Rat: How is that old man? Do you think Bebe's mum will like our Birthday Banner?

Rattus: Splendid, SPLENDID old thing. She will especially like the color. Oh dear, what was that sound?

Tea Rat: I do believe that was the sound of ripping fabric, and a popped button. And don't look at me, because as you can see, I am not wearing any cumbersome clothing.

Rattus: Oh dear, my vest popped a button and my breeches..oh bother! Do you still have that sewing kit, old thing?

Tea Rat: Well old man, it is clear that you will have to watch how many slices of birthday cake you will shovel in. I ON THE OTHER HAND, can consume in MASS QUANTITIES for I have a secret......

Rattus: Pray tell old man. For I shan't CONTROL MYSELF this time...Penny is our great friend and I have to show her my admiration by devouring her cake. You know, in Nowhere, when one admires, loves and honors someone, we eat in colossal amounts to show our gratitude.

Tea Rat: FEAR NOT OLD MAN...it is not a youthful metabolism that is my secret, although I still can eat like a kitten, even at my age....follow me here.

Penny's B-Day is Coming: Part Deux

There's excitement in the air because Penny's birthday is right around the corner.

Tea Rat has raided all the lampshades in our lovely cottage.

And he is planning a birthday banquet, he says, "fit for Americans".

I don't know what an "American" is, but I have the feeling the banquet will be calorie apocalypse.

Tea Rat says not to worry myself.

Oranges arrive from Overthere

Between Rac and Gretta, they managed to haul the box of oranges in from Overthere and add to the feast! Come one and come all, an orange festival starts NOW! First portions go to the ones that hauled the 20 lb box! Slurp, slurp...

A Wonderful feast!

What a wonderful feast! Everyone is here, the breads, cheeses, the party favors, the watermelon!! MMMMM,  And just look at Bebe, isn't she just a peach?  mmm   peaches, did anyone bring peaches? Old man, what is that in your hand? I smell cheese, and oh  fresh baked bread! I guess I should have eaten this morning, but I was saving my appetite for the feast !!  I brought along these very speacial melons, all decorated just for the party! I'm not going to worry about counting any calories today! I'm here to make new friends, and eat eat eat!!!         Hazel~
