On a simple Tuesday afternoon the tourist plane flew over the land of Nowhere. They were told, if you put on your specs and look way down yonder and over there and waaaay down there you might see friends from Nowhere! Gretta could be seen from the air taking floating lessons way down below in Nowhere. It looked like a pool party was going on! Rats, bears, wee mice, and it looked like a raccoon was poolside too! They were all there and one DUCK! The tourist guide suspected the purple duck might be either a life guard or a floating instructor. With eyes peering from up above, they could see what looked like a little mouse on a bears belly. The tourist oooo'd and awwww'd and admire the beautiful land of Nowhere. There was a golden rule, tourist planes could never touch down in the land of Nowhere. Humans were scarce, and somewhat odd. Air space was limited to only one tourist plane per year and this was the day.
Away they flew as the pool party splashed on...

...and thus is the rule of Nowhere...bliss, happiness and sweet friendship, uninterrupted by anything that brings harm. You are my sweet Jackie...I just read your post and my heart is crying. Oh how I miss my momma. I want someone to give me a MOMMA MOMENT...but in Nowhere, anything is possible.

Ha,ha,ha. I don't know why, but the picture of Gretta and duckie in their little square pool made my morning. Too cute for words I suppose.
I remember my dear old ma used to read me scary stories as a kid, and nothing scared me more than stories about places filled with concrete, billboard signs, smoke stacks, choking traffic, sirens, and giant corporations taking over everything.
I'm so glad that Nowhere is a place where duckies, hedgehogs, mice, rats, froggies, racoons, and bears can all have a pool party.
Three cheers, and hoot, and a rrrr.

Oh Gretta, such an inspiring moment!! I need floating lessons, you suppose there is room in there for me too? Is the instructor nice? I guess a little constructive critisism never hurt anyone, but it might be hard to hear if I can't float! teehee big warm hugs, Hazel~
Here, here! There is no where like NOWHERE.. Oh Gretta, I love your rubber ducky. I have a yellow one. Let us all splash our cares away..
Love,
Bebe
