RATTUS:
and looking for a good tale from
Nowhere...
TEA RAT:
Well mate, we shall write our own tale
for the annals of Wit's End library.
RATTUS:
You leave us be! Bebe is busy reading to Fibi and Boo
who are falling asleep.

It's time to decorate for Christmas!

TEA RAT: BEBE dearest, go get that trunk and pull out every ornament you can find. It's time for PARTY TIME....don't you just love this chap's voice? His smooth tones remind me of mine...let's sing...
RATTUS: LET'S NOT sing, or rather, not you. Bebe, HIT IT!
TEA RAT: Oh now come on old thing. Who was lead singer in the choral group back in our college days?
Bring on the ornaments, Bebe! Join in!!!!
RATTUS: That Tea Rat doesn't let the snow accumulate under his boots! Well then everybody, LET IT SNOW and let's decorate and then have a pot of tea.
shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..
I think Boo fell asleep... Tea Rat, I can't decorate now, I am deep into this book.. When I am finished let's sing Let It Snow together Tea Rat.
Bebe
I love it Anita!

Tea Rat,
Who might the Christmas Bear Be?
She looks so lovely!
This was the BEST way to start my Sunday..the weather at the Hilltop is grey..and its raining..YES,lets have snow..Christmas trees and everything with it..Lets have some holiday fun in Nowhere..
Miss Moussie says why not have a choir in Nowhere..she loves to sing..
(but I must warn you bring earplugs when she does)
Love the little ones sitting in the chair..so sweet!
And Yes..big question..WHO is the bear in Nowhere..
I am sitting in my birds-nest today writing and drawing and there's a sign at the door saying..don't disturb..hope it works:)
Such a darling post..love it..and love you my friends..
And a P.S..dear Rattus..mind your head in the library !
TEA RAT: Oh dearest Dutchess, do come in (take off your boots please, I just cleaned the floors!) and let's talk about this choir - but first, sit down with us in the library. We have plenty of books. Tiny ones, larger ones for Rattus's paws, old ones, and ones NOT YET WRITTEN.
RATTUS: Old man, how can our library house books that have not yet been written?
TEA RAT: WE ARE the books not yet written old thing!
RATTUS: Touché. You do have a point!
TEA RAT: Well then dearest Dutchess and Miss Penny, we have plenty of snow and Christmas ornaments to share. Come and join us!
(dearest Dutchess!!! You are drawing today? OH HOW FUN! I do hope your "do not disturb sign works!)
Warm hugs from beautiful and snowy Minnesota!!!
OH! Let's have a choir in Nowhere!
Oh, that is an angel Christmas bear that comes around Wit's End every winter. When we see her, we know Christmas is approaching!
How about we roast some chestnuts or apples over the open fire my friends?
Tea Rat: Oh, let me read a story to you all -- Rattus, Bebe, Boo, and Miss Moussie?
Rattus: But I want to read something classic, something with a soaring command of language, complex characters, captivating storylines, and all that.
Tea Rat: Classic. Sure. I got it. Oh do let me read. Let me read. Let me read. Let me read. Let me read. Let me read. Let me read.
Rattus: Oh, alright. Go ahead. Read.
Tea Rat: Here we go. Be ready to swept away into another world. Page one:
Look, look.
Oh, oh, oh.
Oh, oh, oh, look.
Jane.
Oh, Jane.
Look, Jane, look.
Look, look.
Oh, look.
See Jane.
See, see.
See Jane.
Oh see Jane.
Rattus: ENOUGH! What in the name of....what was that? It reads like a broken record.
Tea Rat: But you said you wanted something from the classics. Well, this from the classic children's series "Dick and Jane."
Rattus: But you've been reading for what seems forever, and so far you've used the same four words: "oh, look, see (and) Jane." Did the author have a speech impediment? Is this some new method of torture to wring intelligence from enemies of the state? Water boarding become old hat?
Tea Rat: Now don't be rude. It's an American book to teach American children to read.
Rattus: But why are they teaching their children to stammer and stutter?
Tea Rat: It's called reading acquisition by repetition. It's for children.
Rattus: Well, will you please concede the fact that we are not one year old? I would like to read something that is a little more enjoyable than the sound of a woodchuck chucking wood?
Tea Rat: Sure. Here's something you'll really like. It is titled, "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day."
Rattus: Well, call me Alexander.
TEA RAT: Put that in your book, OLD MAN!
Rattus: How about we leave the story reading and just have a tea party?
Tea Rat: A tea party? Excellent notion. I'm on it.
Rattus: (Under his breath): No more reading. Thank sweet Saint Rodentia.
Tea Rat: What was that?
Rattus: Oh, I mean, make my tea a good strong Sencha.
TEA RAT: Then let's get on with the decorating. Here, hold this....teeeheee
Rattus: Can we skip reading, and decorating and just right to the booby hatch?
Rattus, come help me hold the decoration. Tea Rat has dumped them all in my lap..
I agree Tea Rat.. A choir in Nowhere. Yes. Let's have one. We must finish the tree first.
Oh RATTUS! You just hit my funny bone... What a hoot you are!!!!
Bebe
-Famous first line..
- All children, except one, grow up – J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan (1902).
This..is not true..:)
teeehe....we have never grown up because PLAY keeps a soul young. HEY THERE BEBE and Miss M.! OK, hand over the tinsel and stop eating all the peppermint candies, Rattus!
HOW ABOUT WE GO CAROLING? Don't you all wish we could record our voices and merge them together as ONE???? Any ideas if we could do that?
O wow,yes..if we could..I'm in..we have to think about how ..:)
I think my voice would clear out Nowhere... My mum use to quietly close my door when I sang... This should tell us something. teeeeee
But YES! Have no idea how to do that, but if we could, count me in.
Oh my, how much we adore this ... Just so you know sweet Violet and Cherise are putting on their snowsuits for the journey and headed your way to play, sip tea and decorate the tree! I ask where would we be without Penny's magical wool creations!
xoxo,
Vera and the gang of wool friends!
HEY YOU ALL! Tea Rat here.....OK, let's think about this - my creative juices runneth over and BEBE and Miss Penny, no worries about voices! I HAVE the velvety smooth tones and...
RATTUS: Don't you all listen to him boast. He has a nice voice, I have to admit, but we will ALL sing as ONE voice and go caroling!
TEA RAT: Oh Rattus, who's your commander in chief here? teeeehee
And Miss Vera...get your boots on and that extra thick parka and get on over in this snow with us. It's way below zero, but we are enjoying our book reading and Christmas decorating!
Let's all think about how we can incorporate our voices?
What a fabulous way to kick off a holiday season full of magic, fantasy, play and fun! I absolutely love it! Of course, books, tea and fabulous friends are essential, too!!
Tea Rat: No worries if people feel they can't sing, I CAN.
Rattus: Spoken with the utmost humility.
Tea Rat: You forget that I was the lead singer for the legendary '60s Rock Band, the Beatles.
Rattus: Preposterous. John, Paul, George and Ringo were the Beatles. I don't remember a mopped haired Tea Rat.
Tea Rat: But I was the one churning out hit after hit.
--All You Need is Tea.
--Can't Buy Me Cheese.
--Tealanor Rigby.
--Tea on the Hill.
--Good Day Nowhere.
--Happiness is a Warm Tea.
--Here Comes the Cheese and Crackers.
--I Am the Tea Rat.
Any of these ring a bell?
Rattus: Sure. The one in the belfry with all the bats.
TEA RAT: EXACTLY. That's the one!
teeeeheheheheeeee
Oh my. What have I missed here?
These conversations (which go NoWhere it seems) are so fun to overhear!!!!!!!
tee-heeeeeee!!!!!!
Such W O N D E R to behold in this
world of Tea rat and his comrades!!!!
Smiling with delight,
Violet
Hahaaa..Here comes the Tea Tat..
But Don't forget..A Mouse on a Hill..:)
With tea..:)
Rat ..not Tat..:)))))
Ha ha ha. Mouse on Hill.
TEA RAT: RAT on the Hill...let's not forget who started this...
:)))
