OK Bebe, I'm Ready!

Tea Rat: Rattus, Bebe has challenged us for another summer fling

at the beach!

Rattus: I heard. YOU ARE NOT thinking of getting on a dolphin's back? IT IS NOT CIVILIZED! Besides, where are you going to find an obliging dolphin?

Tea Rat: Rattus, since WHEN have you known me to be CIVILIZED as you define it? Bebe dearest, let's show Rattus we mean business.....SEE PREVIOUS POST!

penny white illustrations

Tea Rat: There Rattus, THERE! LOOK OUT ON THE BEACH:

Rattus: Yes, I see a dolphin, doing what dolphins do: SWIM AND RACE! How are you going to wrangle a FISH?

Tea Rat: You have NO faith old man. AND DOLPHINS ARE NOT FISH. They are MAMMALS! How long have we known each other? (Tea Rat whistles) YIHHHAAAAAA! COME ON BEBE, I'LL RACE YA!

BEBE: I'm out here already Tea Rat! You better hurry because my SEA HORSE is running hard! WOO HOOO!

Tea Rat: That's my kind of mouse. Look at the control she has over that steed! I better get GOING! HERE I COME BEBE!

Rattus: I've never seen a rat on a fish wearing boots but that MOUSE BEBE IS SMASHING!

Tea Rat: MAMMAL! And I BET YOU'VE NEVER SEEN THIS EITHER: A rat drinking tea and properly BALANCING HIS TEA CUP !

Come on Bebe! Bring your friends and race!

RATTUS: I'm going to the Nowhere Bakery to pay Mrs. Filpotts a visit and get my own cheesecake. ENOUGH of that racing rubbish!

RATTUS: Good day Madame! I'd like to get one of your freshly baked cheesecakes!

MRS PHILPOTTS: Ohhhhhhh so sorry, we are fresh out!

RATTUS: How can that be? There's one right here, in front of me....has this town gone mad?

Only TEA RAT could ride a dolphin across the sea... Hang on tight, You look like a pro! I will be right there.
love, BEBE

Oh Anita, this is GREAT! Just like the old days..

TEA RAT: Miss Penny, I can see you behind the controls! We are happy to be here with you on this fine Sunday at the beach! We are waiting for you!

Angelsdoor * Penny said...

BEBE: Catch me if you can, Tea Rat! First one back get a big slice of cheesecake!

Castles Crowns and Cottages said...

TEA RAT: I'M IN! Cheesecake? Did you say cheesecake? With fresh raspberries and REAL, thick cream on top? RACE YA!

Castles Crowns and Cottages said...

Tea Rat: Rattus, did you hear that? CHEESECAKE for the winner!

Rattus: If you win old man, will you share a slice?

Tea Rat: WHO do you think you're talking to? If you want some cheesecake, GET YOURSELF OUT HERE and race for yourself!

Angelsdoor * Penny said...

BEBE: Yes, Rattus... Cheesecake for the winner only! so grab your suit and find a dolphin.. Tea Rat is in front... We must hurry...

Rattus Scribus said...

Rattus: Did I hear the word cheesecake? For such a prize I would be willing to die.

Tea Rat: Whoah, son. Take it easy. We're not making a western here.

Rattus: Relax. As they say in America, I'm just joshin'

Tea Rat: Suit yourself. I like the name Rattus better, but if you want to be Joshin, fine by me.

Rattus: No, no. I mean I'm ribbing.

Tea Rat: I like that name even less.

Rattus: No. I mean that joshin and ribbing are another way of saying I'm kidding.

Tea Rat: Laddie, no one's going to take you seriously if people ask your name and you say, "I'm kidding."

Rattus: Never mind. I'm outahere.

Tea Rat: Tee hee hee. Come on Bebe. Now we the cheesecake to ourselves.

Castles Crowns and Cottages said...

TEA RAT: IT'S NOSE TO NOSE.....or snout to snout...whichever....COME ON FLIP, LET'S GO! A cheesecake is the prize ahead of us!

RATTUS: OH YEAH? I want that cheesecake and I'm getting into the race!

TEA RAT: What? Are you Josh Kidding, the famous seahorseman? tehehehehee

RATTUS: Never mind. I'll just go to the local bakery and BUY my own cheesecake!

Rattus Scribus said...

Rattus: While you race on the sea, I'll race to the Nowhere Village Bakery and buy me slice of cheesecake. Much more civil and with no threat to life and limb.

Castles Crowns and Cottages said...

TEA RAT: (While riding the waves and racing) SUIT YOURSELF OLD MAN! But the PRIZE cheesecake was the last one baked by the baker! teeheheee

Rattus Scribus said...

Rattus: What, do you just make this stuff up as you go?

Castles Crowns and Cottages said...

TEA RAT: NO....it's as plain as the spectacles on your nose. GO CHECK OUT THE BAKERY! They are fresh out of cheesecake!

Rattus Scribus said...

Rattus: Well, I believe there will be cheesecake at the bakery.

Tea Rat: Believing is not getting.

Rattus: Oh ye of little faith

Tea Rat: Oh ye of little cake.

Angelsdoor * Penny said...

BEBE: Tea Rat and Rattus... Remember the story about the Tortoise and the Hare? Well, while you two have been squabbling about the cheesecake, I WON!!!! TEEEEEEEE Bring on the cheesecake!

Castles Crowns and Cottages said...

TEA RAT: See what you've done old man? You distracted me! BEBE WON! teeeheheeeeeee OK BEBE! One cheesecake coming up!

RATTUS: WAIT A MINUTE, WAIT A MINUTE...you mean, YOU'VE had the cheesecake the whole time??

TEA RAT: You have forgotten that I'm the mayor of Nowhere and I have the keys to the city AND the bakery!

RATTUS: Power corrupts!

Rattus Scribus said...

Rattus: There's a conspiracy to deny me cheesecake. Miss Philpots denies there's cake in the shop when I can see with my own eyes. And Bebe has won the race while I've been wasting time bantering with you. It's like this Ouija board thing doesn't even work.

Rattus Scribus said...

Rattus: Oh well. Let us not be bad sports. Bebe won fair and square.

Tea Rat: Hooray for Bebe. Let's celebrate with cake.

Angelsdoor * Penny said...

BEBE: You two just crack me up!!! Haaaaaahaaaa

You went to the bakery without me? One day you will have to introduce me to dear Miss Philpots... She is a stunning woman!

Angelsdoor * Penny said...

The photos you added with Rattus and Miss Philpots are priceless!!

Castles Crowns and Cottages said...

teeeeheeee....that was FUN, PENNY! Oh dear, Bebe in her sweet little polka dot bikini and her idea to go dolphin racing made OUR DAY. Ruben and I laughed and he was able to take a laughing break!

Mrs. Philpotts would you believe, is a thrift store figurine that I bought years ago when I first started to blog. Do you remember the plays I'd write and have people join in to write the last scene? She was one of the characters in my first play!

The Dutchess said...

O I am sooo late...this just marvelous..Love the seahorse..:-)

Castles Crowns and Cottages said...

TEA RAT: Dearest Dutchess, where is Miss Moussie? She would have loved the fresh sea air, the excitement of the race between me and Bebe, and the laughter over seeing Rattus trying to get his own cheesecake (he wouldn't join the races to try to win the prize cheesecake) and.....

RATTUS: Oh yes dearest Dutchess and Miss Moussie; it was a riot of fun. TEA RAT LOST the race because he was too busy tricking me to go buy my own cheesecake, and all the while he was DISTRACTED and Bebe won! PUT THAT IN YOUR BOOK Tea Rat! But, Bebe was generous and she shared her prize and we all got a slice. We saved a slice for you and Miss Moussie!

Christel said...

well hello all! "you know, I once caught a lobster with my bare hands!" "that's not quite the same as a blissful ride on a dolphin, nor a sea horse, now is it?" "but, I'm sure I could wrangle a sea horse, and tame him too!" I loved hearing about your adventure, sorry I was late. XOXOX Hazel

Angelsdoor * Penny said...

Oh HAZEL! It is so good to see you here! I could have used your help rounding up my sea horse! I should have sent Tea Rat down the road to find you. Big hug! Love BEBE

Castles Crowns and Cottages said...

Tea Rat: HAZEL! BEBE! Well come now, sit down, sit down! Welcome little Hazel! The weather is fine, and maybe we can rustle up some more dolphins or maybe even A WHALE...

Rattus: No. NO MEANS NO, old man. A whale? Are you mad? Even you could never round up a whale!

Bebe's really flaunting that cute bikini -- and if you've got it, flaunt it! How fun to visit your Nowhere sweeties!

Hi Anita :)

I tried to comment on your other blog, but I see you closed it down. I'm sorry to hear it, but I understand that sometimes we need to move on.

This is such a sweet little post. Very cute :)

A quick message for Anita - when I try to visit you at Castles Crowns & Cottages I’m told the blog no longer exists. I don’t want you to think I’m ignoring you. xx
