A Slight Detour

"What do you think it is old man?" asked The Tea Rat as he and his companion looked up high into the winter sky. "Wait......it's moving", said Rattus as he raised his hand to signal to the looming giant that they were neither foe nor fiend, but friends.

"I think we took a slight detour old thing, when we left the tea shop. Now our scones will be ruined for our arrival to the campsite! Oh bother, Oh cr......SILENCE!" hissed Rattus as he slowly walked around the enormous figure and led Tea towards the castle of butter in the near distance. He had remembered hearing about this place in Nowhere, so he knew that they were at least in Nowhere, Somewhere, Out-there, close to their companions.

Dearest Anita,
You know I'm the biggest fan of your art. The gnome is great, but the rats are dang cute. I love their dot eyes; how their boots are too big for their ankles; and above all how one rat (I'm sure that's me) is clothed for winter and the other rat seems oblivious to winter, and, but for the red boots, is dressed only in his birthday suit.

Three cheers, a hoot, and rrrr.

Dear Anita

I love your illustration!! I just have to laugh at the little rat that is wearing nothing but his boots! That is priceless… You are going to continue to sketch more drawings yes? And I love that GIANT Gnome…
Blessings, Penny

Land o' Lakes...lets get movin' over to that buttery castle...Perhaps Tea and Rattus can ride on the gnomes back? Somehow, I can picture your hand moving across the page as our friends come to life...The boots...my all time fave! Now, maybe Jacqueline should try a brush stroke or two...pondering the idea.
