With Flying Colors

Bebe is now officially licensed to fly a commercial and non-commercial poot-poot and has impressed T.J. Merriweather to the extent that serious considerations for making Bebe a partner in the instructor business are on the table. The sky is blue, there is an unusual hum in the air in the far distance, and as they approach Gretta and Garbo's tunnel, they hear a familiar jingle...

"GARBO" bellowed Gretta. "GET YOUR RUMP OVER HERE! Is this who I think it is?"

I wonder who that is singing the PG TIPS on the TV? Could it possibly be Tea Rat & Rattus?
Oh no, it cannot be them.. Is that their blimp I see waaaay up in the sky?

Bravo...You can draw the rump of a hedgehog with SUCH perfection! Poot-Poot, oh to laugh out loud is GOOD! Are we having fun yet? I guess I'm gonna have to break out the pencils and draw Gretta a hat and a diamond ring...perhaps Garbo will plunk down the question soon...we'll see!

Dearest Jacqueline,
I can't get into your blog for some reason, but if you happen to revisit, I just wanted to tell you that I never drew a hedgehog, so I hope I did your sweet characters some justice! Having the style of a comic strip artist is a good thing I guess, where details are not as important as getting the "idea" across! I have a feeling those two are going to have some fun this summer!

Dear friends,

It is indeed my dear friend Tea Rat and I singing the praises of PG Tips Tea on the....what do you call it?...te-le-ver-sion?

In Anita's first (top) drawing, Tea Rat and I are in fact in the distances in our dirigible, advertising our favorite tea. But we decided that we wanted to reach the whole world. Hence, our advertisement on that televersion contraption.

I had wanted to use one of my original ideas, such as, "PG Tips: God's Favorite Tea" or "PG Tips: Only Fools Don't Like It..." but for reasons surpassing understanding they were turned down.

Well, what do those advertising wags know? Besides, I don't think I saw a one of them drink a cup of tea the entire time we were in the studio. How can they who have waded only puddles cross the ocean? How can they who have seen only by candle-light speak of the sun?

Oh, well, the televersion advertisment of Tea Rat and I arm in arm, tea cups raised in perpetual adoration, singing harmoniously unto the eternal glories of tea, is a memory I'll cherish my life long (which shall of course be lengthened by the unmatched health qualities of tea).

Most humbly yours,

Rattus

As we can see, these are two ingenius rats....they managed to broadcast their "pub" as they say in French, pronounced [pyb]straight from their dirigible! Is Nowhere going to start to be a industrialized civilization? Oh dear, what next?
