Urrrgh...buzz

urrrgh...buzz...urrrgh...buzz...urrrgh...buzz...urrrgh...buzz...
urrrgh...buzz...urrrgh...buzz...urrrgh...buzz...urrrgh...buzz...

A persistent buzzing caused me such a horrid fitful sleep,
and no amount of counting sheep would let me sleep a peep.

I trudged out to the kitchen (I think) to fetch a spot of tea.
But I couldn't shake the feeling that something followed me.

So I turned and saw through sleepy eyes right smack in front of me:
the biggest bee you've ever seen. I'm sure you would agree.

You will think that I was dreaming, what I saw was just a cat.
But I swear my upon my life, it was no such thing as that.

The noise I made awoke the town and they all rushed to see
what in the name of heaven caused a fuss to that degree.

But when they barged into my bed, the bee had simply vanished
and it was all that I could do to keep from being banished.

Since that day I've kept away that whole insane affair.
But if you hear a buzz at night, I hope you will bee-ware.

For when at bed you cannot sleep and turn around to see
that following you around night is your own sleepless bee.

Tea Rat: Oh no......shhhhhhhhh....don't tell him, but it's not a dream. This is Honey the bee and he's my partner in the new business. I've been trying to keep him a secret out back in the potting shed, but he somehow got curious about the cottage, entered the premises, and caught Rattus as he was getting up to go to the loo...teeeheeee

KEEP MY SECRET, BEBE!

Rattus: I know I'm breaking the fourth wall, but here's a tip! If you want to keep things hush hush, you should probably not post a comment on the global internet that says: "Shhhhhhh. Don't tell Rattus."

Tea Rat: What's the internet?

Rattus: Don't change the subject. Stop bringing animals to the cottage. We're not the Bronx Zoo.

Tea Rat: What's the Bronx?

Rattus: Don't play dumb, Mr. Man.

Rattus-I do believe the bee's back to the labyrinth of dreams where he came from..

Tea Rat-What's a labyrinth ?

Rattus -A place where you can get lost..

Tea Rat- O No..(runs of shouting..-Must go and find it-..only to come back two seconds later asking... ..Ehm..Rattus..

-Yes..Tea..

-Where exactly did you say the bee went..?

-Back into the labyrinth of my dreams..

-And this place is...where..please....

-In my head..Tea..in my head..

-WHAT..Rattus..are you saying there's a bee IN YOUR head..?

-Will you get lost Tea..

-WHAT?..and follow the Bee..!

TEA RAT: teeeheee......this is good. THIS IS GOOD! Rattus has this BEE in his bonnet now and won't let me keep Honey. Dearest Dutchess, we were going to be beautiful together, Honey and I; we were going to supply you with all the honey you need to get well. A little lemon with your honey and you should be back in ship-shape. Hmmmmm, where is that labyrinth of Rattus's mind...I've got something to plant in it....

HERE I GO!

Bebe! You are a poet, little sister! teeehee

I love Nowhere....

Rattus:
When I want honey I buy honey, not bring home bees.

When I want to go sailing I don't bring home the sea.

I buy paper not the tree.
Why won't you listen to me?

I love this! Nowhere always brings a great big smile to my face. I especially love this line -
I trudged out to the kitchen (I think) to fetch a spot of tea.
But I couldn't shake the feeling that something followed me.
If I can’t sleep, it’s always a trudge to the kitchen, but I’m happy to report nothing has followed me…yet! Happy Weekend to all at Nowhere and a great big hug for Anita xx
