Wandering and Wondering

The night had fallen

but a luminous companion in the sky

led the two travelers toward

the frozen ledge of a horizon.

There, situated as if on a looking glass

stood an abandoned timbered castle.

"I'm beginning to wonder old man, where I've seen

this dwelling."

"Has your mind wandered away from you son, have you

forgotten the spring of your wonderings?

This is

BUTTER CASTLE."

"But of course old man; this was our destination

the day I faced the giant, the day we met

Bebe and Miss Moussie.

Our travels began somewhere...oh, where

were we going, please remind me."

We were going Nowhere and to our great delight

it took us

anywhere

we wanted to be."

Anita, This is a marvelous paper castle and i love it! I think your roofing is perfect...paper as well? You asked about roofing and I've seen it made with egg cartons, both Styrofoam and the old cardboard kind. You can make fantastic little bricks with cardboard egg cartons. My roofing is pinecones, but I'll be using thatch on the upper roof. I love your little castle, it is very much you!

Dear friends, THANK YOU for stopping by! That is what Nowhere is about....a station to stop and laugh, gather with friends, visit any time. Thanks, Jeri!

Anita, Don't use eggshells.....EGG CARTONS< silly girl! I don't think egg shells would cut too easily.. Styrofoam egg cartons, on the other hand, could easily be cut into shingles and then finished with a flat paint.

Dearest Antia,

I absolutely love your Castle! There really is a BUTTER CASTLE in Nowhere. Bebe has asked if there is a room available for her.. She will be traveling to Nowhere one day soon and I know she would be thrilled to reserve a room. Now mind you, she insists on having a view, that is if one is available. Money is no object! teeheee
Thank you for the years of love and laughter here.. Bebe sends her love to Tea Rat and Rattus!

PENNY!!!!!! First of all, Tea Rat has taken charge of the castle; he wants to restore it to its former glory! And as far as a room with a view, NO CHARGE for Miss Bebe (and Miss Moussie - he still has a crush on her) so tell Bebe that the castle will be up to scratch around early spring with a view of Tea Lake! teeheheheheeheheeeeee

Bebe dearest, I am renovating Butter Castle as we speak. Rattus has been rolling his eyes all morning, reminding me that such an endeavor is far beyond the budget of two rats! But you know me, I want the best for my friends! I have just finished installing a new chimney and will be applying new bricks to it now!
