The Rest of the Journey Starts with the First Step

The sun itself was barely waking from its slumber when Gretta suddenly opened her eyes, not by the rude awakening of Mozes's old time piece, but by a sudden pain on her spine...

"Oh, sorry there old thing", chirped Tea Rat, as he looked up at the spikey bundle of confusion and plucked out one of her quills. "What are you supposed to be, Tea? You are puttin' a hurt on my vision" squinted Gretta.

"I GOT IT! Your quills are close in quality to that of my plume that I left behind at Clair de Lune on my writing table. The berries off the bush on the other side of this large rock will bleed out the perfect ink. I am going to write in one of the empty books that has appeared before us."

"Are you sure about this Tea? Shouldn't we talk to Mozes and Rattus about this first? Maybe these are some sort of sacred tomes that we shouldn't be messin'with..."

The Tea Rat tugged on his vest that was about 2 sizes too small; he never divulged from where this little ensemble came, but all the same, he liked how he felt, even though it made bending over a little difficult. "AU BOULOT I must go!" and off he went to write about the adventures in Nowhere.

DO YOU KNOW THAT THE TEA RAT WROTE HIS DISSERTATION ON TEA IN INVISIBLE INK? I have his thesis to prove it! Rattus thought it was all hogwash, but it's true! :)

Well, it is true. My doctoral thesis on the ancient origins of every type of tea that has ever existed, the history of tea around the world, the many uses of tea in every land and every possible recipe, all of the known medicinal uses of tea (and all of the ones known only to me), and all of the associations of tea with the world's religions, and how tea became such institution in jolly old England that we happily went to war to protect it. Yes, that was my thesis, WRITTEN IN INVISIBLE INK in four languages: rat, rabbit, bear, and human (the most barbarous of all languages). If you want to be blessed by the wisdom of my thesis on TEA, you need a special pair of glasses to read the invisible ink.

Incredibly Humbly,
Tea Rat

Oh, I forgot to mention that my doctoral teasis on TEA also included a chapter on the history of the TEA Olympics.

Dear Tea,are you teasing me...because when it's true..then it's pretty teariffic stuff...!
Where can I find those special glasses?;)

Dear Dutchess,
Those glasses were only available to the readers of my dissertation committee. They subjected my teasis to rigorous examination; and when it passed and I was awarded my Doctorate in Teaology (ThD), I requested that my teasis be put in the university archives, special collections. If you want to read it, you must get written permission from me, the Chancellor of the university and the head librarian (who has a pair of special eye glasses so you can read it). But you may not copy or reproduce any part of the teasis in any form without the express written permission of the author, little old me. The secrets of tea cultivation and tea preparation are not to be given to just anyone. But as you one of our little band of fellow travelers, I will let you borrow a pair of my glasses and let you peek into my teasis. (But, shhhh. don't tell anyone. I don't want anyone thinking I'm turning soft.)
