Flying Lesson for Bebe

I have always wanted to take flying lessons… Ok. I need, goggles, check … map..check… scarf, check… leather cap, check !… I will swing by Hilltop and see if Miss Moussie would like to go...Maybe she will bake some biscuits to bring along and Mozes can put them in his backpack.. Well, I know Gretta is always up to exciting adventures… I need a co pilot.. RATTUS! Yes, Rattus would make a great co pilot, and he can bring tea rat with him… I think Raccoon would look dapper in a leather cap… He could be the ground navigator… Who is that hiding behind the tree, could it be the pink lady?

This is the cutest, most adorable little pilot I have ever seen...does she know T.J.? Well, if she doesn't then T.J. needs to make her presence known and come along for the ride! THE PINK LADY is playing hide and seek! Oh dear, this is a cavalcade of stars ready to explode! Take care little Bebe, you are just a beginner, but are you ever cute in your garb! I will be back soon to see how your first lesson went!!!

Yes this is the sweetest pilot, and he definitely should bring Miss Mousie along with her biscuits - they have a big journey ahead of them!

O this is soooooooo cute...I am sure Miss Moussie would like to go..Flying however makes her nervous and then she can become a bit of a chatterbox..twittering everybody's head of!
The Hilltop has a fine landing strip...but be carefull, the roads are very slippery today...We will make a big fire on the hill so you know where to land...see you soon dear sweet Bebe...and how brave of you..!!!

Dear Bebe,

Huurrmmph! Well, if I am being asked to assist you as co-pilot in your areoplane lessons and adventures, then who am I to refuse?

After all, Jasper Bifelthwaite, as I'm sure you know, my second cousin twice removed on my step-mother's side, was in the Great War and flew with Britain's legendary Blazing Blue Devils Squadron. He devastated many of the enemy with masterful flying and gunnery of his Sopwith Camel biplane.

So I would certainly not count myself as altogether unqualified to task.

My dear colleague and friend Tea Rat, will claim that he is more experienced in the skills of flying than I. But I would remind him that having a friend of a friend who once took a picture of another man whose best mate flew model planes is no cause for for pulling rank.

Anyway, dear Bebe, when you compare our qualifications I am sure that sound reason will come to no other conclusion concerning the obvious choice for co-pilot.

So, off we go to the wild blue yonder and all that.

Three cheers, a hoot and a rrrr.

Dearest Bebe,

I am sure that you are a most reasonable mouse, and that you shall disregard the bluster and bombast of my esteemed associate and compatriot, Rattus Scribus.

For what really matters here is not some default qualification by hereditary lineage, but whether you want to fly to wherever the blazes with a rat who makes the most appalling cup of tea.

I rest my case.

Your logical choice for co-pilot,
Tea Rat

I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace

Where never lark, or ever eagle flew —

And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod

The high untrespassed sanctity of space,

Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Oh my dear Bebe...I do not envy the choice you must make. What a pickle to be in! I'd say that you may have to perform a bit of spectacular maneuvering before you even take flight. And when you do, where will your fancy take you?
I will drop by again for more news...and to discover who might become your esteemed co-pilot!

Oh dear old thing Rattus, give me a minute here...I am rummaging through my belongings, but I swear I have a autographed photo of T.J. Merryweather, the famous pilot that taught Amelia Erhart all she knew about flying....well, may I remind you old thing, that T.J. was my mentor and that my flying license is still valid...let's see who Bebe will choose!

Gretta is out of sick bay...she wants to fly too but she is scared out of her wits! She's running as fast as she can to catch up but her rump still hurts like the dickins! She's with you all the way...a chubby bubbly Gretta will soon be there!
