Whatcha got under that skirt, Rattus?

TeaRat: Woo-hoo! Yay for Rattus! Way to let your fur down.

Rattus: Sure, I know how to Carpe Diem. I'm not a trapezoid like you think.

TeaRat: Square.

Rattus: No, not square as in honest and fair-dealing. I mean trapezoid as in out of style, stuffy, strait-laced.

TeaRat: Whatever. OK, you're not trapezoid.

Rattus: Right arm, bro. See, I'm rib.

TeaRat: Hip.

Rattus: Oh, don't you just know everything.

TeaRat: It's not rib. The word is "hip" as in chic, mod, cool, trendy, up to date, popular, with it, hunky-dory, smashing...

Rattus: …I like "rib" better. I'm rib.

TeaRat: Whatever. What do you want to tell our readers?

Rattus: "Pehea 'oe?" That means "What's up?" in HI-WHY-HEEN.

TeaRat: Hawaiian.

Rattus: Pehea 'oe, Nowhereians. Komo mai kau mapuna hoe. That means "Dip your paddle in." In other words, come to the luau party. It's an explosion.

TeaRat: Blast.

Rattus: Censure, complaint, denunciation, darn, what the devil?

TeaRat: NO. I mean…My dear Rattus, you mean to tell that you have already mastered Hawaiian but don't even know common colloquial slang in your native language like square, hip and blast?

Rattus: I know enough slang. Right arm.

TeaRat: On.

Rattus: About what?

TeaRat: Never mind. Say good by, Rattus.

Rattus: Aloha, Rattus.

I think Bebe and TJ Merriweather should give the lessons. After all they gave flying lessons a while back and the rates were only 5¢ per lesson. So how much can hula lessons be?

Rattus

Castles Crowns and Cottages said...

A PENNY A BUNCH OLD MAN....a bunch of crazy Nowhere characters....so then, how about it? A penny old man? Then EVERYBODY IS HAPPY!!!

If BEBE and TJ are the teachers then I AM FIRST IN LINE!!! TEA

Angelsdoor * Penny said...

Gretta perked her ears up and took a good look!

Tea, please pass me some spectacles! I do believe I see hips swaying left and right and it's a gent! He looks like he's making a spectacle of himself and he's soooo handsome! Who is that rat anyway?

Jacqueline piped in and grabbed Gretta right back to the cabbage patch! Stop it Gretta! Raccoon may gnarl his teeth and be jealous. However, I do think that Rattus dude can hula to beat the band.

I wonder if we could catch the next flight out of Nowhere and escape to the Hawaiian Islands? I've always wanted to hula till the sunrises.

Me too says Gretta. Where are we going to find grass skirts in Nowhere?

Castles Crowns and Cottages said...

I think we could ALL take some hemp or whatever those things are made of and WEAVE AWAY!!! Rac, you can use those sharp teeth to cut each strand. Now doesn't Rattus beat all?

Rattus Scribus said...

Dear Hazel, I am sure that if you bring your shiny dime, Bebe and TJ will be happy to include you in the list of hula lessons.

And what's an adventure without Gretta and Raccoon? Simply wouldn't be the same.

All that's required is 5¢ for the lesson and of course a grass skirt.

As you can see, I've got mine and I am getting the hang of this.

Am I rib, or what?

This luau is going to be an explosion.

Rattus
