Oh Bebe, I have not had my needle and thread at all, I've been helping the Mistress clean her studio. Oh the mess! the Mess! I must sweep it up! Sweep it up!. I will gladly take off my apron and join you for a spin on that bicycle, I need a break. Love Dimity Doormouse

And where else could adults who KNOW HOW to live and laugh come together? Indeed, all the laughter and love and memories of those moments are like perennials in a garden; they pop up and are relived frequently; "RATTUS" and I often recall certain posts or comments or specific moments when we all seemed to be on the same wave length of creative thought. There ARE times when we all banter with each other for a good half hour, and to think that we are all on different ends of this world while we are doing it.

Nowhere has been the best place for us to be children again, with the courage and maturity of adults to make our dreams come true.

Bebe, we love you so. (your darling little outfit makes me want to put on another TRAVELIN' SHOW!)

XOXOXOXOXOXOXOOX forever.

Tea Rat: I am afraid it's been years since I've ridden a bicycle old man...how do you work this thing?

Rattus: It's simple old chap. You put one foot on one peddle, then the other foot on the other peddle and you move your legs...

Tea Rat: But my boots are too thick; they are getting in the way!

RATTUS: Then you must remove your boots and.......

TEA RAT: NEVER! NEVER! These boots are on for life!

But thank you Bebe, for the invite to take a bike ride; we shall try to figure something out to enjoy a tour de vélo with you !

Just thought I'd peddle may way over again for another gander at this sweet little heart...

Dearest Bebe (and all our other friends),

I thank you for your years of friendship. We may master the properties of the atom and fly to Mars, but right here in a place that is positively Nowhere, friendship is made of the most precious atoms in the universe, and flights of love and laughter outshine flights to Mars like the sun outshines the moon.

And thank you Bebe for that outfit. You gave me a "belly laugh" and a tug of my heart strings.

I do, however, apologize for my dearest friend in all the world, Tea Rat.

He is unable to join us for a bicycle ride, at least until he is able to figure out how to pedal the thing with those clunky boots of his on. (And, by the way, it is a good thing that in Nowhere all things are possible. For if we lived under the same physical laws of the world of that mythical people called humans, then I would not want to be anywhere near Tea Rat if ever he took off his boots. For the stench would surely mean the ruination of civilization.)

With love and gratitude to you all,
Rattus Scribus

Dearest Nowhere chums,

Ditto what Rattus said. (Except of course his claim that if I took off my boots it would result in the ruination of civilization and all that.)

I do change boots you know. And in between those celebratory events I engage in a ritual washing of my feet in preparation to don my next pair of boots.

For it is like a sacred thing to me. And this is something that Rattus, my dearest friend in all the world, simply cannot understand, as he insists on hiding the natural beauty of the body of the rat with clothing. I, for my part, live under no such restrictions. I'm a free-wheelin' dude. I believe that I have been put in this body by divine providence, and that it is my duty to honor my God-given rat body in public through the manipulation of negative space.

I give you all many hugs and kisses.
Yours truly,
Tea Rat

TEA RAT: And....it's all RATSPEAK TO ME!

Rattus Scribus said...

Rattus: OK, what does that even mean: "it is my duty to honor my God-given rat body in public through the manipulation of negative space"?

Tea Rat: It's artspeak, my friend. So you kinda' have to know a little about the arts to keep up with me.

Rattus: "Artspeak." Sounds like like a lot of rot to me.

Tea Rat: Not at all. Here, consider the beauty of my sister Bebe, and how she exudes positive vibratory energies that thereupon collide with the visual, auditory and tactile senses to leave psychological impressions that start at the medula oblongata and travel upward to the centers of the brain responsible for the appreciation of aesthetics, and from there to the brain centers responsible for speech; and, as the speech centers are oft overwhelmed by the aesthetic centers, it renders the observer speechless.

Rattus: Huh?

Tea Rat: Exactly.

Tea Rat: BEBE DEAR....I fear that I have been wearing these boots all winter long that I cannot TAKE THEM OFF! They are literally glued to my feet...

Rattus: Don't listen to him Bebe; his feet are so filthy they have become incrusted with mud and dirt and therefore, the boots are attached to his feet. I need assistance in helping pull them off of him, but he refuses! But I'll go for a spin with you most lovely little maiden!

teeheheheheheh HI PENNY!

Rattus Scribus said...

Tea Rat: My feet are not dirty. It is a stereotype that rats are dirty. We are clean as a newborn baby's bottom.

Rattus: You mean before or after the doctors wash off the amnion and all the detritus of birth? Now get over here and let me pull off those boots before you start spreading disease everywhere. Remember the last plague. We rats got blamed for the whole thing.

Tea Rat: OK, but if I take them off, will you wash my feet? After all, the Holy Book says that a true act of love is to wash one another's feet.

Rattus: What? Cheesus Crisp!

Tea Rat: Exactly!

Castles Crowns and Cottages said...

Tea Rat: So where is the wash basin and towel? Rattus....oh Rattus...drats, I mean, RRRRRATS! He took off on me! I want to take off my boots and go for a bike ride! Somebody, help!

Angelsdoor * Penny said...

Bebe here... Let me help you take off those boots Tea Rat... Sorry it took me so long to come back and help you out. I was at home, mum had to doctor my knees, I took a little spill on the bike.. I am good to go now.
